秋	秋庭誠 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 新金谷駅の改札だったり車両基地の入り口があるところから、ぐるっと回り込んで線路の反対側、住宅街にある公園。公園としては、水飲み場と遊具が少しあるくらいなのであまり良い公園ではありませんが、車両基地を間近で見れるため、そこそこの穴場スポットです(わざわざ歩いてくる家族連れもいないですし)。また、14系客車も留置してある側線へも近いですね(2017年7月)。 A park in a residential area on the other side of the railroad track that turns around from the ticket gate at Shin-Kanaya Station or the entrance to the vehicle base. The park is not very good because there are a few drinking fountains and playground equipment, but it is a decent spot because you can see the vehicle base up close. It is also close to the side line on which the 14 series passenger cars are detained (July 2017).

平	平和愛 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6月からトーマスが走っていますっ！自分が新金谷駅に行ったのはまだそれが始まる前でした！駐車場は駅前のコインパーキングが最初の20分は無料らしくて、その時は満車だったのでさらに奥で鉄道会社の方達がやってる方に停めました！そっちは1日800円でうちらはSLに乗らないと聞いて申し訳なさそうだったのですが、それ以外は入場料があるわけでもアトラクションがあるわけでもないので全然気にはなりませんでした。けどSLは1日に何回も走っているわけではないのでその時は午前中に出発してお昼前について何回か見れたのですが、もっと遅かったらガッカリしていたかな… その時は2回くらい出発したのと出発前の準備で行き来するところを見れたり、次まであいだがあるからもういいかとお昼に駅内にあるthis is Cafeで色々買って駅入口のベンチで心地いい風にあたりながらそれを食べて、その後も向かい側にある土産物屋さんみたいなところのキッズスペースに置いてあるトーマスのプラレールで遊んだり… 結構ゆっくりゆったり時間を潰させてもらいました！またトーマスが終わって落ち着いたら行きたいかな… Thomas has been running since June!
