★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 野辺山から国道141号を北上して左側に見下ろせる小山があるなと思っていたら、城跡の看板がありました。東西に伸びた峰に小さな郭と堀切が確認出来ました。アクセスは北側の鳥居に繋がる道と西側の道路から峰に上れます。
If I thought that there would be a small mountain from Nobeyama to north on National Route 141 and overlook on the left side, there was a sign of the castle ruins. A small gull and a hori was confirmed in the peak which extended east and west. Access is from the road leading to the north torii and the road from the west to the peak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 海尻の交差点にある医王院というお寺の脇に登り口が有ります。
村上vs武田の合戦で実戦、籠城戦を行ったとの事ですが、当時の合戦規模が分かる小さな山城です。
頂上からすぐ下の麓で消防訓練をやっているのが見えました。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 医王院から気軽に行ける城跡です。お寺から15分ほど登ると城跡に着きます。城跡は整備されおり崖から攻めるのは大変そうです。

医王院が居館跡、背後が詰城らしい。街道が交わる重要な場所であり、川を天然の堀にしたなかなかの城。地元の人の誇りでもあるのか、なかなか整備が良い。主郭両側は鋭い崖、背後は堀切と細い尾根に守られている。
