It is the site of Arikoyama Castle, which is one of the 100 Continued Top 100 Japanese Castles. You can climb the mountain to reach the summit, but as others say, the first half of the 500m is very tiring because the roads are barely maintained. However, when I reach the top, the cold wind hits my exhausted body and it feels very good. I want you to do your best to climb and feel it. The scenery at the top is very beautiful, and I think there are only 100 famous castles.

As the name suggests, it is located on Mt. Ariko above Izushi Castle. It is the main castle of Mr. Tajima Mamoru Yamana. While being surprised at the beauty of the stone walls of Izushijo, you will soon see the entrance to Arikoyama Castle when you climb the stairs under many torii gates. Be careful of bears! I brought a bear bell because there was something like that, but the local junior high school students run up in light clothing! It's amazing physical strength. It is a 1km one-way mountain trail, but the slope is steep only for the first 500m. It is easy to win from the middle point, but in fact, the flat ground at the middle point is the northern end of the northern Kuruwa group, so if you climb the Kuruwa from there to the south, you will come out directly under the main enclosure. If you go along the mountain trail, you can see a splendid Horikiri at the tip if you deviate to the northwestern Kuruwa group on the way. There are also Horikiri and Vertical moat at the western end of the castle ruins. From there, cross the Ishidori ground and head east to see a huge vertical moat (just south of the main enclosure). If you go east on the road south of Senjojiki, you will see a magnificent vertical moat again. The vertical moat of this castle is spectacular. The masonry of Senjojiki remains. After that, if you look closely at the stone pavement, the earthworks (?), And the stone stairs leading to the stone base, it is very interesting. There are quite a lot of stone walls, but most of them are by Hidenaga Hashiba. However, it is a little disappointing that there are collapse prevention nets here and there.

Promenade alone for rehabilitation? ?? ?? (Dangerous beast road level) I thought that it would be better to stop walking if the road surface (road) is wet because it is dangerous to be alone. Is the rope a promenade at such a difficult road level? Is it good to feel the Warring States period because it is only on the road? It takes about 45 minutes, but after climbing, you can feel more like taking the world than "Takeda Castle" ^^ There was a cityscape of Izushi under your eyes, and you could see other mountains and hills, which made you feel refreshed. We recommend climbing once, but be careful about your safety. #Idusi #toyooka #Izushi #Toyooka

As for the way to go, the mountain trail comes out from the site of Izushi Castle, so I will go up one straight road, but at the beginning, a fairly steep staircase will continue for a while. There is a signboard at the middle point of 500m on the way, and from there there is a sign saying "It's a gentle road" and the actual gentle road comes out. After that, it becomes a zigzag road at the end toward the main enclosure, and the place where you climb a little becomes the summit. A stone wall still exists on the summit, and the view overlooking the town of Izushi was wonderful. It took a while because there were women, but I was able to go back and forth in about 90 minutes.

Continued Top 100 Japanese Castle No. 162 (together with Izushi Castle). The castle was built by Yutoyo Yamana in 1574. Altitude 321m. It is not recommended to go with easy equipment because it will be a mountain climbing. A 45-year-old uncle with good legs takes about 30 minutes one way. Up to half of the road is quite steep. Be careful as bears may appear depending on the season. You can also see the sea of clouds depending on the season. I climbed the castle on a cloudy day after the rain, but the fog is thick and unfortunate, and maybe it's a rare view. It was complicated because of the feeling.

It is a fairly steep mountain castle. If you climb a little from the entrance to the castle, it suddenly becomes tight and there are places where you can only climb while grasping the trarope. It will be easier after that, which is tight up to 500 meters from the entrance to the castle. The mountaintop of Honmaru has a magnificent stone wall and the view is soothing. Some stone walls are covered with a net to prevent them from collapsing. Please be careful about your feet when climbing the castle.

The four jobs of the Muromachi Shogunate, Yutoyo Yamana, the guardian of Tajima, built a castle on Mt. , Renovated to Ishigaki Castle. Izushi Castle at the foot of the mountain was built by Yoshihide Koide after the Battle of Sekigahara, and is a separate castle from Arikoyama Castle. These two castles have been selected as "Continued Top 100 Japanese Castles". The entrance to the main road opposite the Inari Shrine? there is. It took 30 minutes to reach the main enclosure with good legs and less than 1 hour at a slow pace? Up to half of the time goes along the steep ridge, but it's quite difficult! Isn't it easier for everyone to climb if you have a little more maintenance on the rope? In the second half, it will be easier to climb because it will be gentle! The impression is that it is a fairly solid castle. From the main enclosure, you can get a panoramic view of the city of Izushi! You can enjoy seeing the territory of Yamashiro as a castle, but the view from the main enclosure at the top of the mountain may be the best (feeling like a lord). At the tourist information center at the foot of the mountain, there are two types of castle stamps, "Arikoyama Castle" and "Izushi Castle". I was a little lost, but I bought both types.
