寡兵の官兵衛が10倍近い多勢の赤松政秀軍を打ち破りました。
この池のあたりが激戦地だそうですが、往時を偲ぶものはなく、赤松政秀が陣を置いた小丸山もゴルフ場の造成により無くなったとのこと。
今は石碑がひっそり佇むのみです。
