The corridor behind the main hall is amazing. The Inari Shrine with this scale is not around here

『思われる…』と書いたのは、私のうろ覚え。
下絵展で知ったのですが記憶が曖昧。
神社は清陰寺というお寺の中にあります。
駐車場あり。
Sculptor I went to see a sculpture probably made by Ueda Kashiyama, a disciple of Nakai Gonji.
I wrote, "I think ..."
I learned from the sketch exhibition, but my memory is vague.
The shrine is located inside a temple called Seinyoji Temple.
There is a parking lot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited literally hundreds of Inari shrines in Japan, most of which are very small. This one however is built on a rather lavish scale, and is the best I have seen. The torii-lined "sandou" or approach path is enhanced by being flanked on one side by the adjacent Seein-ji temple (through which one must pass to access this shrine), and on the other side by old fencework. The gate to the inner precinct is a good example of its type, and the enshrinement hall is not hidden from view like many that are to be found in the more important Shinto shrines. An open hall behind the enshrinement hall displays numerous "kitsune" (fox) statues, as ths animal is associated with the worship of Inari.
