「塩の道」沿いにある古い町並みですが、民家が道に対して斜めに並び、ノコギリの歯のように見えていることにお気づきでしょうか？これはその昔、敵を迎え撃つため家の陰に武士が隠れるためだったという、もっともらしい説もありますが、地形により必然的にそういう建て方にならざるを得なかったということが、どうも正解のようです。
