★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 館林市役所、文化会館などの城跡に建つ施設の入り口です。
この千貫門の西側に土橋門が有ります。土橋門が、いわゆる「勝手口、通用口」で日常的な下級藩士や商人等の出入口だったようです。こちらの千貫門は正門的な入り口で、三の丸へ入り二の丸へと続く経路に有ったようです。
辺りは掘り割りが複雑に張り巡らされていたようですが、今はすべて埋め立てられており、名残はありません。(僅かに、細い小路が堀の形を何となく残していますが)
ここから二の丸(市役所)～内堀～本丸(東側広場)・科学館にお城が有った様です。
This is the entrance to the facility built on the ruins of the castle such as the Tatebayashi City Hall and the Cultural Hall.
There is the Dobashi Gate on the west side of this Senuki Gate. It seems that Dobashimon was the gateway to everyday junior and merchants at the so-called "Katsuguchi, Yukiguchi". This Senukimon Gate is the main entrance, and it seems that it was on the route to Sannomaru and to Ninomaru.
The area seems to have been covered with digging intricately, but now everything is reclaimed and there is no remnant. (Slightly narrow alleys leave some form of moats)
From here, there seems to be a castle in Ninomaru (city hall), Uchibori, Honmaru (east side plaza), and the Science Museum.
