Also, let's go when the snow melts! There may be new discoveries.

i	initial T on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1981年竣工。堤高66m、堤頂長419mの、右岸側が若干上流側に折れ曲がっている、ロックフィル形式の特定多目的ダム。寒河江、長井、白川と、最上川水系3ダムの中で、最初に運用開始された。出来た人造湖は「白川湖」で、雪解け水で満水位となる5月頃、岸辺に生えるシロヤナギが根元まで沈み、とても幻想的な「源流の森」と呼ばれる水没林が現れる。周辺は良く整備されており、一年中景色含め、楽しむ事が出来るようになっている。ダムカードは管理事務所でいただける。ダムマニアにはお馴染みの、インターホンで職員を呼び、「どこから来たのか」云々の簡単なアンケートに記載すればokだ。 Completed in 1981. A rock-fill type specific multipurpose dam with a bank height of 66m and a bank top length of 419m, with the right bank slightly bent upstream. It was the first of the three dams in the Mogami River system, Sagae, Nagai, and Shirakawa. The artificial lake that was created is "Lake Shirakawa", and around May when the snow melts and the water level is full, the white yanagi that grows on the shore sinks to the root, and a very fantastic submerged forest called "headwater forest" appears. The surrounding area is well maintained and you can enjoy the scenery all year round. You can get the dumb card at the management office. It's ok if you call the staff with an intercom, which is familiar to dam enthusiasts, and fill out a simple questionnaire such as "where did you come from?"
