街道沿いの小さな店に、陽がまだ暖かい夕方に立ち寄って二個購入した。
あまり期待せずに夕食のあとに食したら、旨い、美味しすぎる。
あの素朴な味、端から噛むと少し歯応えのある餅の奥から、控えめな甘さのつぶあんの旨味、そして奥歯で柔らかく砕けた豆とまざりあったときの舌触りと旨味、そして餅とあんと豆が一体となった時の噛み応えと甘過ぎない甘さの美味しさ、子供の頃のあの豆大福にここで出逢えた。伝えきれないので、どのように表現したら良いのか…和菓子などは、食べながら緑茶を飲む大人となっていたが、この豆大福は、たべ終えた後もお茶を飲まなかった。口の中をサッパリする事も必要なく後味の余韻を惜しんでそれも楽しく思えたからである。
次は無いかもと思ってしまう、たまたますべてのバランスが整いできた一品なのか…
近いうちにもう一度食べたい。
近くに来た際はお薦めします。しかしながら、きっと地元民の和菓子店であり続け、有名店とならないことで、この味が続くと思います。
お薦めしながら教えたくない複雑な思いにさせられながらも、伝えさせてもらいました。
