I was here with my son in January 2015 and the train had a “layover” of a couple hours for some reason... we were on our way to Jigokudani and this was the quickest way we could get there. So, we exited the train and walked around. Back then, there was a Mr. Donut in the station and I’m sad to see it is gone; it was very busy and the food was outstanding. The rest rooms were very clean. Staff friendly and helpful - one station employee spoke English so I went to her when I needed anything. Look forward to going back. The snow was beautiful and I took the attached photo because there was just something so peaceful about the curving tracks in the snow...
