★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 矢田丘陵の休憩所の一つ、標高は高くないものの大和盆地を一望出来る気持ちの良い展望台です。休日には、ハイカーや、トレイルランナー、MTBバイカーが多く休憩されています。トイレ、水道、ゴミ箱はありません。
 One of the resting places of the Yata hills, although the altitude is not high, it is a pleasant observation platform that can overlook the Yamato Basin. On holidays, hikers, trail runners, MTB bikers are taking a lot of breaks. There is no toilet, water service, and garbage can.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この季節だし自然の中なのであたりまえですが、虫の多さにはビックリです。座って休憩していても歩いていても、体に蟻や毛虫、しゃくとりむし、ついて大変でした。
It is natural this season, so it is natural, but I am surprised at the number of insects. Even if I was sitting, resting or walking, it was hard for me to have ants and caterpillars, shackles, and so on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 文化の日の午後に訪問しました。松尾寺から矢田寺にハイキングをしていて、唯一奈良盆地を広く見渡せる展望台です。若草山がナンキンハゼで少し赤味がかって見えたのが印象的でした。矢田寺からの戻りにもう一度、この展望台に上りましたが、奈良盆地はすでに山影となり、遠く大和高原や三輪山に夕日がさしていて、刻々と光が変化してくのがとてもきれいでした。この時期は、もう虫はほとんどいませんでしたので、これからが絶好のシーズンでしょう。狭い展望台なので、ここでお弁当を広げたりするのはお薦めできません。
I visited on the afternoon of Culture Day. I am hiking from Matsuo-ji Temple to Yata-dera Temple, and it is the only observatory that overlooks the Nara Basin. It was impressive that Mt. Wakakusa looked a little reddish with Chinese tallow. I went up to this observatory again on the way back from Yatadera Temple, but the Nara Basin had already become a mountain shadow, and the setting sun was shining on the Yamato Kogen and Mt. Miwa in the distance, and it was very beautiful that the light changed from moment to moment. There were almost no insects at this time of year, so this is a great season. It's a small observatory, so it's not recommended to spread your lunch here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 矢田丘陵遊歩道で、もっとも眺めの良いビューポイント
名前のとおり、奈良市街を一望できる国見の場です。
東向きなので、日の出の時間帯がお勧めです。
晴れた早朝は朝靄が平地にかかり、幻想的です。
初日の出には、展望台が多くの人でひしめくほどでビックリしました。
地元の人がたくさんいらっしゃってたようです。
The most scenic view point on the Yata Hills promenade
As the name suggests, it is a place to see the country overlooking the city of Nara.
Since it faces east, the time of sunrise is recommended.
In the early sunny morning, the morning mist hangs on the flat ground, which is fantastic.
At the first sunrise, I was surprised that the observatory was crowded with many people.
It seems that there were many locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yesterday, I ventured out to the Yamatokoriyama area in Nara Prefecture. There is a hiking path the goes from Matsuo dera to Yata dera. About 700 meters towards Yata dera, there is an observation deck. The Yamato Plain spreads out below you. You can spot the following Mountains (from L to R) the Wakakusayama Hill, Mt.Kasugayama, Mt.Takamadoyama, Mt.Akamadoyama, Mt.Shiroyama, Mt.Kaigahirayama, Mt.Torimiyama, Mt.Ryūōzan, Mt.Miwayama, Mt.Otowayama, Mt.Ryūmondake, Mt.Miminashiyama, Mt.Amanokaguyama, Mt.Unebiyama.
