久	久世祥三 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 世界中のいろいろな種類の木があるお店です。こんなに多くの種類があるのかとビックリです。そしてお店で流れているヒーリング系の音楽と、ずらりと並ぶ木の香りがとても心地よく、ずっといたくなります。私はいつも、木で手におさまるくらいの動物を作ることが多いので、量り売りの端材コーナーから木目の面白い材を選んでいます。 It is a shop with various kinds of trees all over the world. There are various sizes in the store, from scraps to full-scale sizes. It's fun to see and touch various famous trees to see what they look like, so it just takes a while. If it's a big one, it seems that you can have it delivered separately, but the price is quite high, so I'm buying a small one for small items.

Even if you don't speak Japanese and as long as you have the drawing you will be fine. People say is a little expensive but the quality of wood that you get from the store is the best of the best. Cutting in shop within 240mm wide plank is cheap (Doesn't matter the thickness or length) I think anything more than 240mm width, they would have to send it to an external company. The staff members are also very nice and very patient and extremely helpful! Cutting in shop could take about 1-2 hours that includes the the size you want, planing and more cutting but don't worry, there's a convenience store and a chain restaurant beside the store if you feel like eating or getting refreshments while waiting... or you can just spend hours in the shop just looking at their wood collection. As for the types of wood available... you can get anything and any type of wood you want. From maple to mahogany, plain and flamed etc..all types of wood from different parts of the world and plenty of local wood like Hinoki, Sugi etc.. You can make practically anything from their collection. The place is awesome if you like to DIY. About 30mins from Shinjuku by train. I'll definitely drop by again when I get the chance. Probably the best and most complete lumber shop I've been to in Tokyo
