★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 心経寺は山号を『大慈山』と称し、臨済宗妙心寺派に属する東海88ｹ所第73番札所の寺院です。
当初は法相宗でしたが、源頼朝の命により真言宗に改め、寺の名前も【神鏡寺】と改めました。
ある時、寺の住職が、三嶋大社の神前で般若心経を唱えていると、不思議な事に天から心経(般若心経)が降りてきたと云われ、この事から寺の名前を【心経寺】と改めたと伝わっています。
その後、応永22年(1415年)に臨済宗に改宗し、現在に至っています。
Shinkyoji is a temple of the 73rd Tokai 88th temple, which belongs to the Rinzai sect Myoshinji school, and the mountain name is called "Daijisan".
Initially it was the Hosso sect, but at the behest of Minamoto no Yoritomo, it was changed to the Shingon sect, and the name of the temple was changed to [Shinto-ji].
At one point, when the chief priest of the temple was chanting the Heart Sutra in front of the shrine of Mishima Taisha, it was strangely said that the Heart Sutra came down from heaven. It is said that it was changed to [Shinkyoji].
After that, he converted to the Rinzai sect in Oei 22 (1415) and continues to the present day.
