林	林雅彦 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 鹿島臨海鉄道の駅です。鉾田市の中心となる駅です。名前に新がついているので、鉾田駅があるかというと鉾田駅はありません。かつて、ＪＲ石岡駅と鉾田市を結ぶ鉄道がありましたが、廃線となりました。その終着駅が鉾田駅だったので、鹿島臨海鉄道の駅は、新鉾田駅となっています。駅前はロータリーとなっていて、鹿島臨海鉄道では数少ない有人駅です。高架上にホームがあります。駅の北側に鉾田一高と鉾田二高があります。 Kashima Rinkai Railway station. s	seagull 8 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この路線は無人駅がとても多いですが、ここは学生さんの利用が多いのか有人駅です。切符も運転手さんが受け取るのではなく、3階ほど下の改札口で渡します。SuicaやPASMOは使えません。車椅子対応もエスカレーター・エレベーターもなく、高架上のホームまで3階分くらいを上る必要があります。電車の本数が極めて少ないので、時間に余裕をもって到着するのが良いです。 8:17着の電車の乗客は、タクシー利用者が多いのか、駅前の発着所に一台もいないことが何度かありました。 There are many unmanned stations on this route, but this is a manned station for students. さ	さなえもん on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 私鉄なのでSuicaは使えません。今回は仕事で使う用事があったので利用しました。自動切符売り場で切符を買う様です。付近にコンビニは2件ほどあるそうですが、どちらも1kmくらい離れた場所なので、歩いて行ける人はそれでもいいと思います。昔は今のワイモバイルショップの所にコンビニがあったそうですが、学生の万引きなどが多くて閉店したとのことでした。自動改札機はないので、改札口も有人です。何かあった時や付近の店など、改札口にいる方に分からないことを聞くと行き方や場所など教えてくれます^^* 女性の方ですが、フレンドリーでいい方でした^^* 駅出入口に喫煙所があります。電車待ちするのに丁度いいですね^^* 待合室にはカップヌードルの自販機やお菓子と菓子パン、アイスの自販機も置いてあります^^さ Suica cannot be used because it is a private railway. イ	イッコーインバーター on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ メロンで有名な鉾田市の中心駅。鉾田市はゴボウやサツマイモの生産量も全国有数だそうです。駅の近くには鉾田一高(磯山さやかさんの母校)や鉾田二高(お笑いコンビカミナリの石田さん卒業)があります。高架＋有人駅です。 The central station of Hokota City, which is famous for its melons. The railway track is elevated, and the structure of the station looks rather solid for a station of a "rural" line. Perhaps this is a legacy of the line initially constructed for Japan National Railway (eventually JNR refused to take over the line and it was transferred to the "third party" company, Kashima Rinkai Railway). On the other hand, the line does not accept IC cards (such as Pasmo/Suica); you need to purchase a ticket to the destination before entering the platform of this station. There is no escalator/elevator, so you have to climb up the stairs. Overall, this station reminds me of Showa period (until 1980s), except for the anime-themed trains and decorations. Many features of this station were rather standard back then but now look outdated... In any case, it is nice to have the functional railway and station, and I hope they can keep them working.
