It's just a nameless forest without that feeling. It's more like the backyard of Ikuta Shrine. You will be disappointed when you think of it as a forest. Ikuta no Mori is now an imaginary forest. I closed my eyes and once thought of the wide forest of Ikuta where the soldiers ran around.

お	おだ天狗 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 史跡生田の森は、源平合戦の古戦場。平家の主力部隊・平知盛、重衡らが率いる平家軍が陣を張り、源氏の主力部隊・源範頼軍を迎え撃った場所。かつての生田の森は、現在の生田神社から一ノ谷にまたがり、北は崖の厳しい山、南は海という天然の要害だったのだという。神功皇后が三韓外征の帰途、神戸港で船が進まなくなった、神占を行うと稚日女尊が現れて生田の地に祀るよう神託があり、以来当地に鎮座する。 Historic site Ikuta no Mori is an ancient battlefield of the Genpei War.
