★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2019/1/28御嶽神社から尾根にそって浄福寺城跡までチャレンジしたのだが、2*30分もしたら枯れ木や厚く堆積した落葉などでルートが怪しくなり断念。
再度、浄福寺から挑戦した。こちらも厚みのある落葉で足下がやや急坂になると滑りてこずった。
随所に、多くの切堀や土塁が見られ山城の息吹きを感じる。
やがて、頂上に着き一息入れ城跡を目指した。更にアップダウンの坂が連なり思いのほか難所だった。
八王子城跡とは、また一味違った山城でこの城を落とすまでは、かなり難儀をしたのではなかろうか。
 2019/1/28 I challenged from the Otaki shrine along the ridge to the Kofukuji castle ruins, but if it takes 2 * 30 minutes, I will abandon the route due to dead trees and fallen leaves sedimented thick.
I tried again from Kofukuji. This was also a thick fallen leaves and my feet slid a bit when I got a little steep slope.
Everywhere, I can see many excavations and foundations and feel the breath of the mountain castle.
Eventually arrived at the summit, aiming for a castle rush. Furthermore, ups and downs slopes continued, and it was a disappointing difficult point.
Hachioji castle ruins, or maybe it has been quite difficult to drop this castle in a different mountain castle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 浄福寺横の墓地を通り仏像が並んで立っている所に登山口が有ります。主郭と思われる頂上までの道はなかなか険しく堀切や曲輪と思われる所も有り浄福寺からゆっくり歩いて所要約20分程でした。頂上から更に尾根に沿って道があり堀切が何ヵ所も確認できました。夏に行ったので頂上からの眺望はほぼ無しでしたがなかなか楽しめました。八王子城よりも攻城は厳しいかも。
冬に再訪してきました。今回は全貌をくまなく見る覚悟で訪れました。頂上から尾根伝いに大きな堀切りがいくつもあり、かなり広範囲に遺構が見られました。登り下りを繰り返し鳥瞰図を頼りに行ったり来たりしながら遺構を確認し入山してから3時間近くかかって御岳神社側に下山しました。攻城は遺構がよく分かる冬がオススメです。
There is a mountain climbing place where the Buddha statue stands side by side through the cemetery beside Kofukuji. The way to the summit which seems to be the main line is quite steep and there are places where it seems to be a horse cut and a bending wheel. There was also a place walking slowly from Kofukuji Temple in about 20 minutes. There were roads further along the ridge from the top and I could confirm a few points of Horikiri. Because I went in the summer, the view from the summit was almost none but it was quite enjoyable. Siege may be tougher than Hachioji castle.
I have been visiting again in winter. This time I visited with full preparedness to see all over. There were several large moat cuts on the ridge from the summit, and a remarkable extent was seen. I repeatedly walked up and down repeatedly relying on a bird's-eye view to confirm the remembrance and took mountain for about 3 hours and I descended to Mitake Shrine side. The siege is recommended for winter where you can understand the remains.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 山内上杉氏の重臣大石氏の居城とされますが築城年代は諸説あります。新城という別名からも１６世紀前半に高月城に代わる居城として築かれたとするのが妥当ではないかと思います。北条氏照は若年の頃に大石氏の養子となっており浄福寺城を居城としたという説が近年提起されています。
堀切の集大成とも言うべき山城で多数の兵が守れる広さを持った郭はほとんどなく、四方に伸びる尾根に幾重にも巨大な堀切を刻み込んでいるのが浄福寺城の最大の特徴です。細尾根と堀切で敵兵の移動は困難であり城兵たちは持ち場で待ち構え各個撃破するという思想が表れています。
恩方車庫行きのバスは少ないため宝生寺団地行きのバスで川原宿大橋バス停で降りると城跡まで歩いてもそれほど時間はかかりません。登山道入口は浄福寺の墓地にありそこからの道のりは長く傾斜もきついし足場も良くないです。尾根の端々まで遺構があるのですべて見るのに時間もかかるし恩方周辺の山では熊も出没します。ほとんど整備もされていないので登山靴と手袋はもちろん縄張り図面とＧＰＳは必須です。
It is said that Uesugi Yamauchi is the castle of Mr. Oishi, but there are various theories about the age of the castle. I think that it is appropriate to say that the castle was built as an alternative to Takatsuki Castle in the first half of the 16th century from the alias Shinshiro. It has recently been proposed that Hojo Ushiteru was adopted by Oishi when he was young, and that he had settled at Jofukuji Castle.
The greatest feature of Jofuku-ji Castle is that it is a mountain castle that should be called the culmination of Horikiri, and there is almost no gusset with a size that can protect a large number of soldiers. It is difficult for enemy soldiers to move at Hosone and Horikiri, and the idea is that castle soldiers will be waiting at their holdings and destroy each one.
There are few buses to Ongata garage, so if you get off at Kawaharajuku Ohashi bus stop with a bus to Hoshoji Danchi, it will not take much time to walk to the castle ruins. The mountain trail entrance is in the graveyard of Jofuku-ji Temple, and the road from there is long and steep, and the scaffolding is not good. It takes a long time to see everything because there are remains at the end of the ridge, and bears also appear in the mountains around Ongata. Almost no maintenance has been done, so terrain drawings and GPS are mandatory, as well as mountain climbing shoes and gloves.

堡塁を結ぶ尾根に大中小いろんなタイプの堀切が見れる♪
尾根を垂直に切った堀跡、真ん中残し土橋&堀切、片側土橋堀切、連続堀切&大堀切などなど堀切のデパートや～(^o^)/
しかも畝状竪堀まであるという♪
ちょっと伐採された木や枯れ木で歩きにくいトコもあるけど城域広くて堀切遺構のバラエティー多い戦国山城だったよん

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 古城ファンには人気の本格山城です。全山を要塞化しており、どなたが最初に気付いたか、上からだとちょうど漢字の「爪」のような形をしています。堀切や土橋遺構はもちろん、畝状竪堀は一見の価値ありです(^〇^)
