I visit this shrine for the first time every year. Children's Shichigosan was also held here. You can also get fortunes, bills, and amulets at the shrine office. The quiet precincts feel good whenever you visit. In autumn, the big ginkgo tree is beautiful and smells good. Occasionally, it is interesting to see the rose-ringed parakeet, a wild bird native to India that has been naturalized in Japan, gathering at this large ginkgo tree.

Although the roof was being renovated, I was able to worship at the hypothetical location. It was said that the red stamp had a note, but it was not. The cherry tree was beautiful.

This is a wonderfully preserved, major shrine located in a quiet residential neighborhood close the Canon Headquarters. It is said that it was first established in the year 1234, during the reign of Emperor Shijo during the Kamakura Period. It was founded with “six pillars to the Gods”, not far from the lower section of the Tama River. The shrine was dedicated to protecting the old Shimomaruko Village (下丸子村)The official name is “Rokusho Jinja”, but it is commonly referred to as “Shimomaruko Rokusho Jinja” to distinguish it from other shrines in Japan with the same name. If you are already in the neighborhood, it is well worth a visit. #tamagawa #shimomaruko #shine #haneota
