★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Used to be married to an East European migrant back in Japan who, despite being reasonably educated, had to work as a truck driver there due to language limitations. The woman who inherited the business from her parents worked there as a director who kept ringing/harassing me although I had my own business to run. I even had to hire a lawyer to stop her from ringing me after we got divorced. She seemed to believe that she was some sort of princess who owned me just because my ex-husband was hired by the company. I would warn any migrant worker who is thinking of working there. Once you are hired, you will be working ridiculous hours for very little money and all members of your family will be treated like a slave (and I am a highly-educated citizen of Japan). I should also mention that my ex-husband (who was also the dad of my eldest daughter) died at a very young age of 43.
