It is a gentle climb up to the middle, but it gets tighter from the middle. However, the road is well maintained and it is easy to climb without getting lost. You can climb and descend in about two hours. From the top of the mountain, the view is open in only one direction.
It is a short walk from the branch with the shrine to Mt. Kitachijoji, but there is no view.

A mountain that rises to the north of Lake Senjoji. There is a first-class triangular point of 589.5m. The view from the summit to the west is good.
It is easy to walk on the well-maintained mountain road from the multipurpose open space at the foot to the summit. The time required from the multipurpose open space is 60 minutes up and 50 minutes down, including short breaks.
The road to Kitaura Tenmangu on the south side is a relatively easy walk, and there are many tape markers so you won't get lost. On the way, there is a place with a good view called Observatory Rock, and you can see Senjoji Lake below. It takes about 60 minutes from the summit to Kitaura Tenmangu.
It seems that it is a little difficult to understand the branch when going on the reverse course from Kitaura Tenmangu Shrine and taking the road to the left.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great walk up through the lovely Ochibara Tengu forest to the east leads you to this summit. A small shrine to the mounain's "gongen" (incarnation) nestles under the summit rock, and views can be had at various places through gaps in the trees. The trail is a bit steep in a few places, but does not require any special footware.
