There is a fishing port and there is a rocky shore, so it is recommended for anglers! There is also a surf nearby! It is a place where you can easily aim for blue fish, flatfish, etc.

アイヌ語で「行き止まり」を意味する【シッツカリ】が集落名の由来とされる。
その名に相応しい尻屋の断崖絶壁の南端に位置する、尻屋とは対をなすもうひとつの地の果て。
集落自体が高台にある点が異なりますが、崖の下にある港の雰囲気は本家北海道の「静狩」と似ている。
「地の果て」の先、どこまで進めるかテトラブロックを乗り越えて進んでみましたが、すぐにドラマチックな海食洞のある大岩に進路を塞がれその先は到達不可能でした。
地理院地図にも記載がある通り昔は尻労と尻屋を結ぶ山道があったらしいですが、先駆者の方々のブログ等を拝見する限りでは廃道同然の扱いのようです。
2021.5 Visit
The name of the village is derived from [Sitzkari], which means "dead end" in the Ainu language.
Located at the southern end of the cliff of Shiriya, which is worthy of its name, it is another end of the land that is paired with Shiriya.
The difference is that the village itself is on a hill, but the atmosphere of the harbor under the cliff is similar to that of "Shizukari" in Hokkaido.
I tried to go beyond the "end of the earth", overcoming the tetrapod, but soon I was blocked by a large rock with a dramatic sea cave, and I could not reach beyond that.
As you can see on the Geographical Survey Institute map, there used to be a mountain road connecting Shikkari and Shiriya, but as far as the blogs of the pioneers are concerned, it seems to be treated as an abandoned road.
