★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この神社に近い西側に麦塚古墳がある。笹原川のほぼ同じ河岸段丘上にあるので、ここの神社のマウント状の高まりを見ると古墳だった可能性もある。
敷地には明らかな板碑や供養塔はないかと思ったが、よくよく見てみると、庚申供養塔らしき風化した石仏が1基ある。十九夜如意輪観音も1基ある。その向こうの西はじになんと比較的大きい板碑もある。ただしこの板碑は近世に庚申供養塔として再刻字されているので、本来の形ではなくなっている可能性がある。
いずれにしても、神と仏が相並ぶことを許さない明治時代神道においては、あってはならない石仏群だったのだろう。
There is a Mutsuzuka tumulus on the west side near this shrine. The shrine is located on the same terrace of the Sasahara River, so it may be an old tomb if you look at the mounting height of the shrine here.
I wondered if there were any obvious monuments or memorial towers on the site, but if you look closely, you'll find one weathered stone Buddha that looks like a Koshin memorial tower. There is also one Nine-Nine Ringtone Kannon. There is a relatively large monument on the west side beyond it. However, since this monument was re-engraved as a Koshin memorial service tower in the early modern times, it may not be in its original shape.
Either way, in the Shinto era of the Meiji era, where God and Buddha were not allowed to line up, it would have been a group of stone Buddhas that should not have existed.
