It feels like I've cut a tree recently and it's getting a little narrower ❔ It's a little scary at night because it's so dark.

A clean shrine in a residential area. Maybe I should stop by for a walk.

There are unexpected people doing Pokemon GO at night, so be careful of your car. The Shintai is a sword.

It seems that a stone sword came out of the ground when I dug a well nearby. It seems that the stone sword is enshrined deep inside the main shrine as a deity. It seems that this "Ishigami no I" became the place name of Shakujii.

The name of the place here, the total guardianship of Shakujii, which is said to be the origin of Shakujii. Also called Hikawa-sama. The establishment is not clear. There is also a theory that it was founded during the Muromachi period. At least in the middle of the Edo period, this name was written in clear ancient documents. There is a theory that the stone sword (the god of stones), which was the origin of the place name of Ishigami, came out of the well and became Ishigami. In my personal opinion, it may have been influenced by the Ainu language. The residence of the Toshima clan (Shakujii Castle) is only about the size of an earthwork, but it fell due to Ota Dokan and fell near the current Shakujii Shrine to worship the god that was said to have been inside the castle. It is also said to be the origin. The precincts of the shrine are spacious, with large trees, and the dense greenery hides Musashino in the distance.

A mid-sized shrine located just north of Shakujii-Koen Station. There are several small monuments and dedicated stone lanterns, as well as two guardian dog statues. In addition to the main shrine, there are two small subsidiary shrines on the grounds. The shrine office is located at the corner of the house on the property and has several protective amulets on offer, although when I visited there didn't seem to be anyone there. I would hesitate to knock on the door, but perhaps during the winter or summer months sitting in the shrine office may be uncomfortable. There is one main entrance leading from the south to the north where the shrines sit, with a stone monument near the torii at the front of the grounds. Overall, a very nice local shrine.
