Setoda Sunset Beach - Onomichi

Nice location next to the beach. However, we need to pay for everything : shower 300 yens for short 3 minutes including one minute of cold water. Not eniugh if you a wants to wash her hair. No sink for dishwashing unless maybe if you pay. 200 yens per person and per day on top of tent site price for facilities maintenance. Ladies shower were not clean at all the first day. Toilets cleaned only once a day. All visitors of the place use the toilets for free but you need to pay if you camp.

It's a good beach and the water is clean but not very clear. It has floats and water slides in the water and there are shades which you have to pay to use (2000 Yen) per day but you can use the beach free of charge at any time if you just use the beach and bring your own umbrellas. It has got showers but you have to pay Yen 300 for two or three minutes but you can use water from the faucet you have to bend( that is free). And there are rental bicycles. The whole thing is conveniently made for cyclists and there is also a tent space.

Nice beach with clear water and not many tourists. Also can rent a bike fr there! I bet summer time will have more people to come!

We rode down to this beautiful beach for a quick dip at sunset. It was clean and quiet and had showers and toilets. Beautiful views!

Fantastic Beach park facility along the shimanami cycling route with plenty of toilets, showers, shade, vending machines, open spaces, swimming area safe for kids, art pieces dotted here + there, open air stage pavilion, cafe serving light meals inside or out, bicycle rental, free parking, lockers + a small shop. The main facility toilets are barrier-free wheelchair accessible but not open 24h. The 24h open toilets and showers are less nice, but not too dirty. Hot Showers for 300yen next to lockers. The shade shelters can be rented on hot days and there's very little shade anywhere else. Sometimes great events at the open pavilion like the Festa De Rama summer beach festival. Like the name, Sunset Beach has great sunsets popular photos show the eyeglasses ?+ sunset combination. The food wash taps were on in March in front of restrooms if you need water refills or a light wash. It'd be nice if they allowed camping throughout the year. I'd also like to see a reusable (like the retro coke machines in glass bottles, drink + leave to wash + refill + reuse) or refillable drink machine (fill your own container) to reduce on the single-use plastic bottle drink containers that often end up in the water, or littering on the beach. Fun to check out the derelict bus across the street- I'd love to see a vegan burgers, sandwiches, rice-balls, local citrus drinks, lemonade, coffee + smoothie cafe made out of it + convert the small abandoned cars into seating, add tables or the grassy area behind it + put up some shade or grow trees for shade. Lots of potential here ? All in all, a great rest-stop, beach ⛱️ facility you can plan on using if in the area.
