★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great shrine and very close to the train. Easy to find and well thought out area for festivals, I went to the sumo festival there. Also very nice shrine to walk through as there are many parts of it including a bathroom. Very large and plenty of space.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice quiet place with a pond that has a small shrine designated for itsukushima jinja. There were a couple of ducks swimming around.
At the corner of the intersection before this place, there's a small takoyaki shop. The owner was very generous in a festive spirit during the Christmas/New Year holiday.

This is My local shrine i was raised with. Coming here pray through tough time of my life..these days getting popular with nonlocals for some reasons.
Wedding happens too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It s a wonderful Shinto, it s not big but it has a small small pond with the duck and a small shire, there is a quite big sumo wrestling area and a quite piece of land where you can enjoy your time there. Good takoyaki near by ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Setagaya Shrine is a very special place in Setagaya City. The shrine itself is beautiful and includes a wrestling pit and a pond with coy fish, turtles and mandarin ducks. The shrines are very well maintained and used by local families for religious/cultural purposes.
Except for around early January, the shrine is rarely busy. During New Years expect very long lines.
Very much worth a visit!
