★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 竜泉2丁目にある千束稲荷神社。あの樋口一葉の小説にも登場する神社で、境内に宮司さんのお住いもある様です。一角に樋口一葉の像が有りました。とても雰囲気の素敵な神社です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 知名度という意味では近隣にある鷲神社や小野照崎神社などに及びませんが、地域で大事にされてる神社です。なにげに立派な御神輿などもありますよ。あと樋口一葉像は必見。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 国際通りから一歩入ったところに有ります。樋口一葉も訪れ「たけくらべ」の１舞台にもなったところです。2004年に発行された5000円札の顔も2024年には津田梅子に変わってしまいます。20年間お疲れさまでした。そんな思いで参拝がてら樋口一葉さんの胸像にもお会いしてきました。旧住居跡、一葉館も近くにあります。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千束稲荷神社は、北千束郷の氏神として長くお祀りされていた稲荷神社で、樋口一葉の小説の舞台にもなっていることでも知られている。
鳥居をくぐると蔵の鍵を持った狛狐 (こまぎつね) が迎えてくれる。蔵が建つほどに商売繁盛して成功するようにという思いが込められているらしい。
また、千束稲荷神社は初午祭 (祈年祭) の際に灯される地口行燈も有名。例年２月の二の午の日に「初午まつり」が開催され、当日午後４時には初午祭祈願が行われ、境内に掲げられる約１００ヶ所の行燈は夕刻から２１時頃まで明かりが灯される。
