★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 尾野山集落郊外にある上田市有形文化財尾野山木造千手観音立像（室町末頃様式）が安置されている寺院。杉林の階段を登ると、壁のないかなり痛んだ寺がある。床もふみぬきそうで慎重に進む。正面は木の扉がしまっている。あけて本尊を見ることが出来るという注意書きがある。ゆっくりあけると、ガラスケースにはいったご本尊を拝むことができた。歴史ある貴重な文化財を守るために寺の改修が急務であろう。

小さい車なら途中まで行ける。
約１O分で尾野山城跡に到着。
尾野山城は海野氏の家臣である尾山氏代々の居城です。1541年（天文10年）の「海野平合戦」では、武田信虎・諏訪頼重・村上義清の連合軍に最初に攻めらるほどの重要拠点だったようです。また1585年（天正13年）の「第一次上田合戦」では、真田昌幸が三千余騎を率いてこの城に入り、徳川方を牽制しました。現在城址には土塁や堀切などの遺構を確認することができます。引用

Onoyama Castle is the residence of Oyama, a vassal of Mr. Unno. It seems that in the "Unnohira Battle" in 1541 (astronomical 10th year), it was an important base for attacking the Allied forces of Nobutake Takeda, Yorishige Suwa, and Yoshikiyo Murakami first. Also, in the 1st Ueda Battle in 1585, Masayuki Sanada led the 3000 Senki to enter this castle and restrain Tokugawa. At present, you can see remains such as earthworks and Horikiri on the castle ruins. Quote

折れのある竪堀を見たかったケド、どしゃ降りとヤブと疲労で諦めた(TT)
神社になってて傘さして登城できた。
