公衆トイレもあり、春には大きな桜の木が２本あって、満開が楽しみな公園です。

10年前くらい？に改装されて全体的にキレイになって、トイレもあるので子ども達も遊びやすいのでは。
広いのでいくつものグループがそれぞれに遊んでいます。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 千石荘公園は，地域の皆様に親しんでいただける公園となるよう，ワークショップにより公園デザインを決定し，再整備を行いました。
過去に展示されていた「千石船」にまつわる石碑の移設や新しい説明板を設けることで，地域の方々が本公園の歴史に思いを馳せる整備を行いました。
海の無い京都市内で千石船？が展示されて居た。
船の名は長栄丸で福井県と北海道を定期的に運航して居た様です。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ このくらいの規模の公園整備をもっと増やしてもらいたい右京区。遊具も幅広くこどものテンションも上がってました。適度な日陰もあり、何より自転車置き場が日陰なのもありがたい。
