t	tamaki on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 【豪雪地帯にたたずむ、かつてのスイッチバック駅】・真っ赤な三角屋根と真っ白な壁がかわいらしい駅舎。このあたりは世界有数の豪雪地帯。そのため、このあたりの家屋はみな、雪が屋根の勾配が強い。これは自然に雪がすべり落ちるようにするため。・開業は明治19年(1886年)。二本木駅と同じくスイッチバック式の駅だったが、昭和60年に廃止、移転した。今でもスイッチバックの配線のみ残っている。・かつてはJR東日本「信越本線」の駅であったが、平成27年に第3セクターである「えちごトキめき鉄道」に移管された。・待合室には書籍や雑誌があり、ゆっくりと電車を待つことができる工夫がされている。・駅前から市営バスが運行されてあり、観光名所である「燕温泉」や「苗名滝」へ行くことができる。 (19.6月現在) [The former switchback station, nestled in a heavy snowfall area] ・ A station building with a bright red triangular roof and white walls. 高	高野みき on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 今はえちごトキめき鉄道の駅ですが、新潟県内で一番最初にできた駅のひとつです。駅には喫茶室と２階に画廊があります。また、勾配があるところにホームがあります。以前は少し離れた場所にスイッチバック式の駅がありました。そこは関山旧駅のバス停があります。駅舎はありませんが、ホームや架線柱、(一部は撤去されましたが、)レールが残っております。線路はかなり先まで伸びておりますが、手前に車止めがありますのでJRになっても使われた形跡があります。境界石もJR表示されていました。 It is now the Echigo Tokimeki Railway station, but it is one of the first stations in Niigata prefecture.
