割と穴場です。
しかし、離岸流という潮流があり、気を付けていないと後いう間に流されます。
浮き輪でぷかぷかするなら、もう少し海水浴場に近いところをお勧めします。

海水浴にはもってこいなのですが潮の流れが早く。
離岸流などもよく起こるので目を離されないよう気を付けて楽しんでください。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 石見海浜公園でキャンプをしましたが、その前に晩飯を釣ろうと近くの防波堤まできました。9月初旬、夕まづめを狙って1時間でアオリをゲットしました。車を止めてから防波堤の先の島まで200メートルくらい。爆風の日は釣りは難しいです。また、川側ではカニ網を投げたらモクズガニがとれました。手ぶらキャンプ企画とかやってみても面白いのでは？夏場は蚊が多いので要注意。
