現在は、地面陥没の恐れがある為、新坑エリア内への立ち入りは禁止されていますが、フェンス外から坑廃水処理施設・通電室跡・貯鉱庫跡・佐々連鉱山碑・佐々連通洞跡などが確認出来ます。周囲には、社宅跡・小学校跡・ズリ山などが見られます。
閉山以降も鉱毒水の処理をしなければならない為、住友金属鉱山佐々連事務所は現在も営業をし続けています。
