M	M Nemo on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佐野市葛生の旧家、吉澤家のコレクションが寄贈されて、その収蔵先としてできた美術館。そのコレクションのなかに若冲の《菜蟲譜》が見つかって大騒ぎになったのが1999年。なぜ大騒ぎになったか、というと、菜蟲譜が「昭和2(1927)年10月に恩賜京都博物館(現京都国立博物館)で開催された展覧会｢斗米庵(とべいあん)若冲画選｣に展示されたのを最後に所在不明」となっていたからなんです。でまあ若冲の《菜蟲譜》を収蔵していることで、有名になりました。ちなみに吉澤家は吉澤石灰工業株式会社の創業家で、葛生は江戸時代から石灰石が採れたことから、石灰産業で賑わっていたらしい。菜蟲譜は縦32cmで長さ11mという巻物で、「前半は無背景に野菜や果物が描き並べられ、後半は様々な昆虫、は虫類、両生類などが描かれる。対象モチーフは全部で約160種にのぼる。巻末に伊藤若冲（1716～1800）77歳の款記(かんき)がある。若冲には巻子(かんす)形式の作品が少なく、本図はその唯一の本格的な絹本著色による作例であり貴重である」とのこと。重要文化財です。美術館は、東武佐野線の終着駅、葛生から徒歩8分のところにある。平屋の小さな美術館です。 A collection of the Yoshizawa family, the old house of Kuzuo, Sano city, was donated and the museum was created as a storage destination.
