★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 名古屋城の三の丸庭園です。現在は名古屋市公館の庭になっています。名古屋城外堀の土塁を背景に古代遺跡を思わせるような巨石が多用されていて見る者を圧倒する豪壮な庭園です。また木々が茂っていて名古屋の都心でありながら深山幽谷のような雰囲気もあります。ですが二の丸庭園と違って、あまり手入れはされていないようです。この場所はあまり人には知られていないと思いますが、もっと多くの人が訪れるようになれば、整備されて更に見ごたえのある庭園になるのではないかと思います。
It is the Sannomaru garden of Nagoya Castle. It is now the garden of Nagoya City Public Hall. It is a magnificent garden that overwhelms the viewer with a lot of megaliths reminiscent of ancient ruins against the background of the earthworks of the outer moat of Nagoya Castle. In addition, although it is in the center of Nagoya with thick trees, it has an atmosphere like a deep mountain valley. However, unlike the Ninomaru Garden, it does not seem to be well maintained. I don't think this place is well known to people, but I think it will become a more spectacular garden if more people come to visit it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 三の丸庭園は、陸軍将校クラブ偕行社(現在の名古屋公館)の前庭として明治14年から明治17年にかけて作庭されたそうです。二の丸庭園南御庭の一部、東南中央の渓谷と渓流の部分を移築造園したものだそうです。枯山水として作庭され、滝付近に入り込んだ地割は渓谷山の構成であり滝の形式が、龍門瀑(りゅうもんばく)で桃山時代初期に作庭されたそうです。石舟形の手水鉢と、その奥には自然石による石橋が架けられています。三の丸庭園の西部には、出島風の築山かあり亀石組のような意匠です。

A stone boat-shaped chozubachi and a stone bridge made of natural stone are built behind it. In the western part of Sannomaru Garden, there is a design like a Dejima-style artificial hill or a turtle stone group.
