★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 桜川市のほぼ中央に有ります。高台に建っています。南東には、板谷波山の名前に由来しました、関東の名山 紫峰筑波山や加波山が見え、景色の良い所です。ただ、今あちらこちらで、農産物を食べたり荒らしたり問題になっている害獣（イノシシ ハクビシ タヌキ アライグマ）などがいます。私は、以前ハクビシを５匹ほど捕獲しました。今回は、家の畑のスイカをほぼ食べてしまったタヌキを、捕獲しました。でも、まだ子どもでしたので、家族に見せた後、タヌキの親元に帰れるように、逃がしてやりました。可愛い顔をしていましたよ。
