The day before yesterday, I took the Sanriku Railway from this station. It's a station that retains the feeling of Showa ☺️

The JR station building and the Sanriku Railway station building are separated. Various commemorative goods are sold in the station building of Sanriku Railway, and you can feel the warm atmosphere different from JR. It seems that the train bound for Miyako was used for Ama-chan's location. Jejeje ~!

It was run by an NPO until 2017, but the attitude and response of the staff were bad and I didn't want to approach it. Currently, it is directly managed by Sanriku Railway, so there should be no such staff.

This is the departure and arrival station for the Sanriku Rias Line. It is in front of a manned station in the countryside. I want to get on the Sanriku Rias Line someday.

The train station where ? runs! There is also a Sanriku Railway station next to it. It's a small station, but there were three female station staff. Or is one a driver? Before the departure, even if I didn't get on the train, when I started the train soon, he called out to me. Kindness and pretty beauty ❗

(Sakari) When I first became involved in the Ofunato Line when I was interviewed on a certain TV, I read "Mori-eki" because I had no connection with this place until then. There was a public bath called "Mori no Yu" in Sendai, where I lived at that time, so I naturally thought it was "Mori-eki". It was more than 10 years before the Great East Japan Earthquake. When I asked the locals "Please tell me about Mori-eki", I had a bitter experience of being laughed at by the reaction of "???" (laughs). There are three Sakari stations. One is the JR Ofunato Line station that replaced the BRT, the starting station of the Sanriku Railway, and the Sakari Station of the Iwate Development Railway (for freight) Hikoroichi Line. At that time, many of the people interviewed died in the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake. It was 10 years after the earthquake, and I was able to remember various remnants of those days. At the station, a message to support the reconstruction of the earthquake was displayed.

BRT itself is not unusual because I have been riding it overseas, but I came to this Pacific coast area for the first time after the earthquake. The Sanriku Railway was also restored, but the Ofunato Line was damaged and part of it became a BRT. I think there were a lot of sad voices at that time, but as far as I got on the BRT, I think that the number of passengers did not exceed 10 and it became a public transportation system that was tall enough. A large coastal construction is reflected along the sea in the train window on the way to Kesennuma on the BRT, and new houses are lined up in the mountains, probably because they were built after the earthquake. The earthquake wasn't over, but people got on the BRT, feeling that they were trying to overcome it and live strongly.
