100円で売られている鮒の頭の馴れ寿司がお買い得。めちゃ美味いです。琵琶湖湖畔民じゃないので、ここの特徴なのかは分かりませんが。
The crucian carp head sushi sold for 100 yen is a bargain. It's really delicious. I'm not a Lake Biwa shore person, so I don't know if it's a feature here.

鮒寿司なるものを食したことが無いので、どうせ食べるのなら老舗の本物をと思い、阪本屋さんに伺いました。店内も柱、敷居、框、引き戸等々老舗らしさがありました。 真空パックの最小のものを買いました。 とにかく発酵が強く、酸っぱい、酸っぱ~! 嗜好品のように好き好きだと思います。郷土色満載です。

鮒寿司というのは一体どういうものなのか 大変興味を持って 老舗と言われるこちらのお店を訪問しました 古くからの 立派な店構えに感動しつつ 鮒寿司を購入しました 発酵食品関係は 結構好きなので それもあってか とても美味しく頂けました 通販もあるようなので 旅行に行かれない時は通販で購入してみようと思います 地元の方からすれば当然なのだと思いますが やはりこの鮒寿司って 日本酒に めちゃんこ合いますよね? またこのお店はかつては膳所藩の 料理人の方の お店だったと知り びっくりしました 歴史が深いんですね…

The owner speaks little english, but you can get the sense that he is very proud of his products. Visited this place since it seemed like the only place where I could bring back funazushi instead of sampling it right there.
