★ ★ ★ ★ ★ この付近に有った大崎城(1601年廃城)の城主 戸田金七郎宣成がこの地に稲荷大明神を創祀したのが起源。戸田 宣成（とだ のぶなり、生年不詳 - 天文15年（1546年））は戦国時代の東三河地方の武将、渥美郡田原城の国人領主戸田氏の一族。田原城主戸田憲光（弾正忠）の子、通称は金七郎・橘七郎・三郎兵衛尉。初め同郡大崎郷（豊橋市老津町）に居住したが、天文6年（1537年）牧野氏の今橋城(吉田城:現代の豊橋市役所の付近に存在し、今では櫓のみ存在)を奪い城主となった。祭神は宇迦御魂神（うかみたまのかみ）で、例祭日は4月第1日曜日。

Toda Nobunari (Bird unknown, year of birth-15th year of Astronomy (1546)) is a family of Toda, the landlord of Tahara Castle, Atsumi-gun, a warlord in the Higashi-Mikawa district during the Warring States period. The child of Tahara castle owner Norimitsu Toda (Samada Tadashi), commonly known as Kinshichirou, Shichirou Tachibana, and Saburobei. At first, he lived in Osaki-go, the same county (Otsu Town, Toyohashi City), but took away Mr. Makino's Imabashi Castle (Yoshida Castle, which exists near the modern Toyohashi City Hall and now only a tower) in 1537. Became the castle owner. The festival god is Umi Okami, the regular festive day of the first Sunday of April.
