★ ★ ★ ★ ★ when patient comes to emergency with a sudden onset of mutism, tremor and inability to walk, they check the patient, find nothing, ask you to pay 80k, and send you home at 5 in the morning (!) so that the next day you have to call emergency again... ("second day" emergency finally found what was wrong, but for 80k I believe they should have done that extensive blood test as well?♀️) difficult to trust when such things happen.

I had to go to Roppongi even though I was feeling sick. On the way I almost collapsed in the train so the train's staff recommended me the closest generalist hospital which seems to be this one.
When I exposed my case at the information desk I was told I needed to pay around 7000yen just to register because I didn't have a recommendation letter from an other hospital!!!
This place is crowded and try to avoid more people by doing that...
Even for an emergency they ask to pay and wait in line.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I owe the Staff of this Hospital the life of my Wife, one day, if I ever become Wealthy like (Softbank's) Son samma, I will repay them in kind.
Though before then, I wish to add, as a non-Japanese Speaker, the Doctors and Staff were beyond amazing. My Wife spent nearly a year within this Hospital's ICU, and the staff were to me, flexible towards my off-hours visiting during her coma time.
As a local company employee, I had to have the obligatory medical insurance... which this Hospital accepts.
The total bill was astronomical.... yet, (after a bit of "common-sense" legal haggling) with the Insurance Company, was covered.
Everyone's experiences are different, but mine are Personal, and with the follow-up visits that we still need to make with the Hospital , I wish to say that this Hospital is 1st class from my experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a severe abdominal pain at 2am and called up my insurer back in UK and they told me to come here. They took X-rays and told me there is nothing wrong. 2 weeks later back in UK, I had a similar abdominal pain and went to our local hospital and immediately found that it was gallstone.
I called up this hospital later asking them to issue medical report for my insurance. The person at the finance department was very very rude to say the least. I got nowhere and ended up paying for the bill of the treatment.
So tourists who end up being treated here should insist on issuing medical report right on the spot if you want to get your money back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a hospital for "walk-in" service.
Without an appointment wait can be couple hours even if you are a registered patient.
Large Japanese hospitals are by referal. Obtain a referral letter from neighborhood GP doctor/clinic for the specialist you require. Once registered you return to that hospital for appointments. That's the system.
Don't just show up to hospitals after hours for help! Emergency personal may not be on shift!
For Emergencies CALL AMBULANCE/PARAMEDIC they will take you to the NEAREST AVAILABLE Emergency Ward w/the necessary medical personal ON CALL. #110 or 119

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ People here are so weird. Staff is very polite, but doctors are not. They dont even listen to you to tell them ur symptoms. Today I visited otorhinolaryngology(Dr.Sekimizu) I had ask the doctor to let me talk for 2-3 times. She was very rude and not helpful at all. The only thing she was doing is that she was interrupting me. This is my 3rd visit for 3 different reason, and I never managed to get a response from doctors. They have been doing lots of examination and eventually what they could tell me is: we dont know what is the reason you feel bad( 原因わかりません).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would like to thank warmly the medical and nursing staff of the hospital who took good care of me during two weeks. It was really reassuring to be into such good hands, especially as a foreigner with bad command of Japanese. Everyone looked very professional and committed to the patient welfare. The facility is modern and the meals very good. Thank you once again.
