★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 土岐氏の家臣【平田宗善】が現在の関市池尻に安住の地と定め、天正年間に(白山神社)を創建して氏神とし、菩提寺として(香華寺)を建立した。
その後、龍泰寺から蘭室正芳和尚を開山の師として招き(西光寺)と寺号を改めた。四百有余年の歳月を経て現在に至る。
境内には薬師堂があり安置されている薬師本尊の御前立が円空作の薬師如来です。
(現在、円空仏は関市円空館にあり拝観する事ができる)
 Toki's vassal [Muneyoshi Hirata] decided to settle in Ikejiri, Seki City, and built (Hakusan Shrine) in the Tensho era as a deity, and built (Kokaji) as a family temple.
After that, Masayoshi Ranmuro was invited from Ryutaiji Temple as a teacher of Kaisan (Saikouji Temple) and the temple name was changed. It continues to the present after more than 400 years.
There is a Yakushido in the precincts, and the front of the Yakushi Honzon, which is enshrined, is Enku's Yakushi Nyorai.
(Currently, Enku Buddha is in the Enku Museum in Seki City and can be seen)
