When you climb Yakuzo-zaka, you will see the large roof of the temple on your right. There is a tomb of the Ryukyu dynasty sanctuary who died on the way to Edo when he was in Hirata, Hamamatsu-juku on the Tokaido.

Soto Sect YTO Express Group Nishimi Zenji. It is the 39th temple of the 88 temples on the shore of Lake Hamana, and has a long history since the Tenpyo era. The approach from the mountain gate to the main hall is a quiet place with lots of greenery, and at the "Hatsuuma Festival" held in March every year, it is said that it is crowded with people in the suburbs who wish to prevent evil and bad illness.

Saikenji Temple was founded in 1480 during the Muromachi period as the last temple of Sogenin Temple in Shijimizuka Town, and is a Soto sect temple whose main mountain is Puji Temple. Originally located in Hirata-cho, west of Hamamatsu Station, it was relocated in 1989 to its current location, which was the site of the Hana Gakuin (built in 748), which was destroyed by fire in 1986. The white-walled fence, the magnificent main gate (Niomon) that doubles as a bell tower, the cobblestone approach with maple trees, and the magnificent main hall are impressive. Although the temple was built about 30 years ago, it has the style of an old temple throughout the precincts. As shown in the attached photo, the maple leaves on the approach to the shrine turn beautifully in early winter. Proceeding along the west side of the main hall, you will find the Mato Kannon-do (last photo) and Shinonari Inari, which were rebuilt after being burnt down. [Mato Kannon-do] The origin dates back to the Mato Kannon-do, which was built in 748 during the Nara period. After that, it was burnt down, but Ieyasu Tokugawa built the Kannon-do in prayer for the safety of horseback riding with Shogunate Nagahisa, and since then it has been the devotion of the Tokugawa family. Ieyasu always sent out a messenger to pray for Hayagriva at Hayagriva to win the battle. The current Mato Kannon-do is a temple that was rebuilt in 1991 on the site of the Hanagakuin, which was destroyed by a suspicious fire in 1987. In March, the "Hatsuuma Festival" will be held in which children ride horses and pray for evil.
