★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place for pretty much everyone. View of Mount Fuji, has fairy's wheel, illumination everyday, has game center, buffet dinner restaurant, movie theater, all sorts of shops and malls, famous sushi restaurants.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only place so far with a movie theater around the area if you want to catch a movie. Food options are varied and there's an arcade as well. Walking from the station is just 15-20mins, otherwise there is a bus that goes there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved it. Stepped off the ship and we were there. Busy market with various musical acts going on. Shops good, all very clean. Walked around the town to various tourist attractions to find there were lots of volunteers to show us around which was great.
To top it off Mt Fuji put in an appearance.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A shuttle bus (10-15mins ride) is available from Shimizu JR - go by the East Exit and there will be a pickup stop for shuttle buses. On foot will take about 20-25mins. It's a great place to buy souvenirs. A huge variety of Shizuoka, Mt Fuji, Shimizu & Suruga Bay specialties. There is also the Chibi Maruko Land worth visiting if you are a fan. Also good for trying local seafood as well as photo taking.
Air is really fresh in Shimizu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better than expected. Running a free shuttle bus between the shopping mall and shin-shimizu station every 30 mins. Recommended thanks to Maruko Land and Uniqlo which is located right next to this mall. Also have tons of sushi and sashimi places inside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My all the time favorite place where i can do shopping, eat halal desi food, my kids can play different games inside the building n can enjoy ride at open air area. The sea sight is adding prominent charm and every time i go there i enjoy more. Highly recommend
