価値あるものを一般の方に知って頂く為にどうすれば良いかを真剣に考えてらっしゃるお店だと思います。
息子さんが世界的大道芸人だというのも異色で面白いです。

店内はかなり広く、箸とかお椀のような漆器から、本格的な一点ものの木工家具まで取り扱う老舗でした。
格調の高い品揃えなんですが、店内のスタッフはとってもフレンドリーで、商品知識にも詳しくいろいろ教えてくださいました。
買う買わないは別に気にしない様子で、熱心に解説してくださったので、気楽に店内を見て廻ることができました。
ビールの袴を、お土産にと買い求めたところ、包装してもらってる時にこちらで漬け物でも召し上がってくださいと、お茶をごちそうになりました。おもてなしの心、ホスピタリティ満点の漆器屋さんでした。

閉店間際に飛び込んだのにも関わらず、探している漆器のサイズを伝えるとあちこち一生懸命に探してくれ、丁寧に説明してくれた。
目指す器は残念ながら無かったけれど、その代わり格安で売られている汁椀を購入。「奉仕品」となっていたけれど、それを差し引いてもこの安さは凄いと思う。何回でもリピートしたくなるお店。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ryumondo provides exclusive japan, called "Kiso shikki". There are several japan manufacturers and stores along Kiso-highway (Route 19), I recommend Ryumondo if you are seeking good japans. I got lunch boxes, chopsticks with a case, and pillows for chopsticks, etc. etc. It's good stuffs, not too expensive, almost japans are at reasonable prices. I'm sure I will revisit.
