小野郷が南北両小野村に分割されたのは、豊臣秀吉時代で天正十九年(1591)十一月である。...
小野郷は石川(松本城)と毛利(飯田城)両知行の境であったため、毛利氏は小野郷は伊那郡であるから飯田領だと主張し、石川氏は小笠原貞慶の代に小野神社へ社領を寄進していたから松本領だと、両者間に石高について論争が起こった。その為小野郷を真半分に分割して、南方を毛利氏に、北方を石川氏に与えて論争に終止符を打った。この結果南小野村は伊那郡に、北小野村は筑摩郡に属し今日に至っている。とあります。
行政区分を超越しての「両小野小学校」は、時代は変わっても「小野は一つ」と言う事でしょうか！
