Watching the sushi makers do their thing was awesome and I would totally recommend it to anyone wanting dinner and a show. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Our favorites were the shrimp, scallop and sea urchin. I normally take way too many photo's of my food, but here we were too engrossed in the whole process to take a single picture.

He was very friendly. He would describe each sushi and explain the background of it. This sushi place is very good and I will definitely come back!

The restaurant has been in existence for some 80+ years...moving from Hokkaido then to Tokyo and more recently to its present location in a back alley behind the Hard Rock Cafe. I was taken here as a guest the first time for omakase. And it's was incredible. So I've been back a number of times since and generally go omakase. The fish is always as fresh as can be (which can usually be determined by the quality of the scallop and uni). Their preparation is exceptional. Their staff amazingly efficient and nice. But again - it's all about their sushi. And boy is it incredible. The price - as are the prices at most nice sushi places, is expensive - at least for me, coming from the US. You'll pay around 21,000-27,000 for omakase with beer for 2. Sake/wine will obviously push it higher. UPDATE: been coming here for 4.5 years. Upgraded to 5 stars because of the amazing hospitality.

I will never forget the way the she sang her greetings. :) The food was great and the atmosphere refined and welcoming. I will go out of my way to eat here the next time we're near the area!

My favourite piece was the young tuna/bonito - get the sashimi Bento if possible as you get more fish I think. The hosts and chef were lovely.
