★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 昨年末に山武市の五所神社をお参りしましたが、こちらは一つ数字が多い いすみ市(旧岬町)にある六所神社です。
ご祭神が天照大神、伊弉諾尊(いざなぎのみこと)、伊弉冉尊(いざなみのみこと)の他に3柱あり、併せて6柱あることからついたそうです。
場所は農村部の道路からやや高い場所に境内があり、太平洋に向かって珍しい黄朽葉色の社殿が建っています。その右手奥には鳥井の一部を御神体とした白幡神社が立っていて、これもまたユニークです。
その昔、見世物にされていた河童を神主さんが助けて、うしろの川に放してあげたところ、川の上流に住み着き、以来日照りでも水が涸れなくなったという河童伝説が残っている神社でもあります。
