その名の通り、昔は野菜を洗ったりお皿を洗ったりしていたそうです。
こちらの清水は水を飲むことができます。
少し苦味のある水でした…。
水はとても澄んでいてキレイでした！

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 湧き水の街です。あちらこちらの湧き水を、歩いて探し楽しめます。実際に飲める湧き水場や、足を入れて涼める湧き水場、生活用共同湧き水場など様々でした。
サイダーや、ドーナツが美味しかったです。

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 残暑の中訪れ、水の透明感と冷たさに驚きました。到着したときに地域の方々が清水の清掃活動をしておりましたので、ずーっと昔から大切にされているんだな～っと感じました。御台所清水の周辺にもたくさんの清水がありますので、レンタサイクルで巡るのも一興かと思います。
次は真夏に子供達を連れて行きます。
I visited in the lingering heat and was surprised at the transparency and coldness of the water. When I arrived, the people in the area were cleaning the fresh water, so I felt that it had been cherished for a long time. There is a lot of fresh water around the kitchen Shimizu, so I think it would be fun to rent a bicycle.

こちら「御台所清水」は由緒ある清水で、佐竹藩の藩主が鷹狩にいらっしゃった時、こちらの清水を使って食事が作られたとの事。それが名称の由来なのです(*^^)v
六郷湧水群の中でも御台所清水はかなり広く浅い清水で、元々町民の炊事場として利用されてました。
当時は清水の形が「瓢（ふくべ）」に似ているため、「瓢清水」と呼ばれていたそうです。それが藩主の料理に清水を使われた後、現在の「御台所清水」と呼ばれるようになりました。歴史って、意外と単純なのかもね(笑)
瓢とは「ひさご」とも呼ばれ、瓢箪の内部をくり抜いて酒を盛ったり水を汲んだりする物のこと。よく時代劇や香港映画の酒場で見ますよね(笑)
こちらは、御台所清水の下流側から撮った写真。広く浅いのが分かると思います。この透明な清水で作る料理、さぞかし美味しいことでしょうね(#^.^#)

Among the Rokugo springs, Mikuriya Shimizu is a fairly large and shallow Shimizu, and was originally used as a kitchen for the townspeople.
At that time, the shape of Shimizu resembled "Gourd", so it was called "Gourd Shimizu". After Shimizu was used in the cooking of the feudal lord, it came to be called "Okitsune Shimizu" today. History may be surprisingly simple (laughs)
Gourd is also called "Hisago" and is a thing that hollows out the inside of a gourd to serve sake or draw water. You often see it in historical dramas and bars in Hong Kong movies (laughs)
This is a photo taken from the downstream side of Mikuriya Shimizu. You can see that it is wide and shallow. The food made with this transparent fresh water will be delicious (# ^. ^ #)
