Great local produce place. Food is tasty! I'd recommend the burger place just outside the main door.

Actually didn't know this place existed. Stopped by here one time and it was closed, then stopped today and was amazed. Nice little river at the back with a bunch of food courts inside if you get hungry. Nice chill spot for the family and friends

This rest area offers the usual conveniences (restrooms, restaurants, etc.). There is a beautiful lake behind the builiding, where many families picnic. There are also places to grill. Inside, there is also tourist information available in English. There is also a grocery store that carries many of Ibaraki's specialty foods.

It was such a pleasant experience each time we visit there to buy organic foods, not the processed stuff. We picked out 2 types of mushrooms: Shimagi, and Shitake. We also got some Kaki fruit. This fruit tastes like a Peach and Tangerine mixed up, so sweet! Then we got 2 types of grapes, one deep purple, and the other a mascot, sorry can't remember their names. We also got some very delicious looking long necked onions. There is so much more offered there in veggies and fruits. Plus there's the local pickled foods, homemade bakery bread, sandwiches, onigiri, little handbag mascots, keychain mascots, cellphone mascots, handmade pottery cups and dishes, handmade masks, and even Soba seeded pillows are sold there. Their restaurants are Beef dishes, Soba dishes, Udon, I believe there is also Ramen dishes, and Fried Rice dishes. You can eat inside at the cafeteria styled room, or go out unto their patio where there is 5 tables/4 chairs each to eat at. Then whe you're done maybe check out their Soft Cream Ice Cream, if you have a desire for something sweet after your meal. Their parking lot is huge enough for touring buses, motorcyclists, and drivers of cars. It's pet friendly so you are allowed to walk your dog by leash. There is a children's simple playground to the right of the building, which is beside the organic garden, and huge field of sunflowers they had growing, but the heads of them were so heavy with seeds, their heads no more looked towards the sun, but to the ground. I sure do love me some sunflower seeds covered in sweet chocolate. There is a nice river in the back to go down to when permission granted, and skip stones across. But if fishermen are spotted must be quiet to not scare away the yummy Ayu fish.

It's a very big rest area directly at a river. They have two restaurants and a farmers market. On the outside there are several food stands. They even sell live fish for your aquarium.

One of the relatively new (opened in 2016) and big “road station”, comparable to service areas of (toll) expressways. Besides the usual facilities, the station is next to Kuji-gawa (river) and can be used as a nice park. Quite a pleasant place to stop for lunch or coffee break! Because of the popularity, you might have to wait in line for the parking space.
