個人で打合せの為、訪問いたしました。ロビーは広く天井も高く開放的で、打合せし易かったです。受付近くには製品の展示や会社案内などあります。スターバックスがありますが、残念ながら社員しか利用できません。全天球カメラのRICOH THETAは楽しい良いカメラです。ペンタックスシリーズにも頑張って頂きたいですね。

Last week I became the proud owner of a Pentax K-3 Mark III. I started to read the German User Guide and must say I'm pretty disappointed by its readability (and the English version often does not help either). Some paragraphs are unintelligible or even completely wrong. Take the camera's UI for example. "Shutter cannot be released unitil subject is in focus" becomes "Auslöser kann nicht losgelassen werden, bis das Motiv fokussiert ist". This is wrong, because "release" has been translated as "the finger cannot be lifted from the shutter button until..." while "release" actually means something else here, i.e. you cannot release *the shutter*, i.e. take a photo until the subject is sharp (in focus). So the German translation should read something like "Der Auslöser kann erst ausgelöst/betätigt werden, wenn das Motiv scharfgestellt ist". But there is more. Grammar mistakes on pages 60/61: "Der SHUTTER/AF-Funktion kann unter ... eingestellt werden" (wrong gender of the definite article) and "Beim Fotografieren mit dem Sucher können Sie die Autofokus-Funktion unter [AF mit Sucher] im Menü 1 eingestellt werden" (wrong form of the tense). Then take a look at page 61 ff. of the English manual (or p. 60 ff. in the German manual). The paragraphs about "AF Area Restriction" are very hard to read and understand. These are very clumsy and unidiomatic phrases indeed. I have to read each paragraph several times to understand what is meant here - it seems the translators are no photography enthusiasts themselves (or has this been translated by a machine?). Please may we ask you to kindly publish reviewed versions of the user manuals - reading 140 pages already is a lot of "work", but it would be less so when it is easy to read and understand.
