t	traveller DEEP on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 佐久間象山の墓がある寺です。古くは鎌倉時代に日蓮聖人が佐渡流罪の折に、ここを通ったという伝説もあるようですが、当時の北国街道は未だ関東方面からは正式な形としては整備されておらず、宴曲抄の善光寺修業を基に考えても、未だ松代城下の無い松代エリアを通ることはあり得ないという結論が出ております。おそらくは東山道からの千曲川沿いを北上し、小市の渡しか市村渡しから善光寺門前を抜け、吉田、稲積、多古、古間、関川と言った具合に越後入りをしたものと思えます。そもそもの蓮乗寺の場所は違う場所にあったようで、松代城下の整備の時に今の場所へ移動したのですから、尚更日蓮聖人が通ったとか、急な山道の地蔵峠を抜けたというのはナンセンスな話しです。官道である道からわざわざ逸れて、上田から山越えをするのは軍事的なことならわかりますが、罪人を引き連れての山越えはあり得ないです。日蓮聖人松代通過説は、蓮乗寺のみが言ってるだけで、何一つ証明はありません。 This is the temple with the grave of Sakuma Zouzan.
