I wouldn't recommend tourist to come in this shop because it was a little difficult to communicate. Though i do love this cute small shop near my apartment, it felt quite authentic and fits in really nicely in the neighborhood of itabashiku. I got a hair cut (4000yen) and a perm (5000 yen). The owner of the shop cut my hair and permed it. We used google translator and my broken japanese to get through the process. They continue to ask me questions to make sure this is want i wanted and also had consultation.They have an amazing service for the price i pay, better than the place i go to for United States. The woman massages my scalp when she washes my hair. And at the end of the cut, she massages my hair and back for a little bit as part of the service. She was very sweet even though we had a poor communicate barely between languages. She was quite patient with me and was willing to try to understand everything i waa saying with hand gestures. The owner who permed my hair was quick with the rollers. This was my first time perming my hair. I also got my undercut too because its quite hot in tokyo during the summer days
