浅	浅草寿 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10連休初日の４月27日は、旧三河島汚水処分場喞筒（ポンプ）場施設で行われたつつじ観賞会に行ってきました。こちらの施設は東京都下水道局が管理する国指定重要文化財で、三河島水再生センター内にあります。 220本のつつじを楽しむ趣向のイベントですが、興味はもっぱら大正時代に建設された優美な赤レンガ造りのポンプ室の方。予約をすれば一名からでも施設を見学できますが、ちょっと気が引けちゃうので貴重な機会です。ここはホントに時間の流れがゆったりした感じ。旧三河島汚水処分場喞筒場施設は、隅田川中流に位置する旧下水処理場で大正11年に運用が始まりました。日本初の近代下水処理場の代表的遺構として、高い歴史的価値が認められ、国の重要文化財（建造物）に指定されています。阻水扉室、沈砂池など一連の建造物が旧態を保持しつつまとめて残っており施設の構成を知る上で重要な文化財なのだそうです。旧三河島汚水処分場では時代とともに水処理施設は最新技術へと更新されましたが、ポンプ場施設は平成11年に稼働停止するまで状態を保っていたそう。現在はさらに丁寧な修復や復元が行われ、見応えがありました。マンホールカードももらっちゃった♪ On April 27, the first day of the 10-day holiday, we went to the Azalea viewing ceremony held at the former Mikawashima Sewage Disposal Station Canteen (Pump) Facility.
